Conference invitation

Dear Colleague

We are holding a one day conference on Tuesday 28th September in Holborn, London.

The conference is aimed at professionals responsible for HR, Training and Development, and managing staff within Charities, Housing Associations and other Third Sector Organisations.  The day will include a choice of twelve topical workshops and legal updates presented by specialist HR consultants and expert lawyers from the Russell-Cooke Charity Team.  

Jolanta Lasota, Chief Executive of Treehouse (the national autism education charity) will give a keynote address on the importance of HR for driving change and being critical to an organisation's success.  The day will close with an address by James Tickell, an expert consultant in the Housing Sector, looking to the future challenges for HR and how professionals will succeed in meeting them.

The day will be an opportunity to explore the developments in the law and the challenges presented by organisational and wider changes and to network with fellow professionals in the sector. Workshop subjects include:

- Cost-effective learning and development

- Mergers and associated TUPE issues

- The Equality Act 2010

- Redundancy and restructuring

- Managing stress

- Performance management

- Strategic HR management
